pleasant shock
checked my inbox this morning and saw the email from Discovery for the TJ application. can't believe i got past the 150-words application since i was basically blabbering nonsensical stuff. for the next round, have to send in an introductory vlog and sample travel blog. after helping ms soo video her entry in the afternoon, still in a dilemma as to whether i want to continue with this. my low self-esteem is striking. bam! wham! ouch! electric shock was trying to change power plugs this afternoon to charge my portable hard disk. while my right hand tussled with the stubborn plug, my left hand grabbed the power extension. i must have been grabbing real hard cos my left fingers hurt but still i held on for a couple more seconds. finally, i let go in defeat and was left with sharp tingling in my fingers. it took me a moment to realise that that was electricity buzzing my fingers. i gave up. i've checked, my left fingers are none the blacker than the right ones and are still very much intact. thank you. stupid shock wanted to delete some data in my sd card to free up some space. i was inserting the card into the in-built card reader when i realise that in my absent-mindedness, i have aimed for the wrong slot. my brain was screaming 'stop!' but my hand didn't get the message in time (the electric shock must have killed some of the brain cells) and in goes 99% of the sd card into the 'a' drive. $&#@ i almost cried. spent the better part of the next countless minutes trying to coax my sd card out of it's new spacious home. my list of 'the brainless things i do' is defintely adding up... |
