dearest ah san 姐姐,
today is a happy day. today is the day you, the 1st gal in our 'uno' gang, gets married. today is the day you become mrs ang. and today, siok and i are so happy and proud to be there to witness you and lawrence exchange vows and rings. we were touched when you both were proclaimed husband and wife. as your 'old' friends, we can't be any more happy for you to finally find the one you love and who loves you. i remember a long way back in sec 1, when we sat side by side in class. how we cheated together in chinese tests. oops. and the times we got together with the rest of the gang to play our favourite game - uno. we were so 'du' then (or at least me lah...heh). you've blossomed. you're smart. you're beautiful. and you've always been so sweet to me. i'm glad that over the last 14 years, through the ups and downs, we're still together as friends. maybe i wasn't always there when you were down. maybe you were not aware of my sad moments. maybe there were times when we neglected each other and took things for granted. friendship needs to be nurtured just like any other relationships. but i believe that you will be there to hold my hand when i need you. and i want you to know that i will always be here for you when you need me. you're my treasured friend and my big sister. and i sincerely wish you a life of bliss with lawrence. i think if i continue any more, i'm going to start tearing. gosh. sentimental me. =P so, once again, congratulations! with lots of love, your 妹妹 ah line |
