independent travel?

i've been trying to 'plan' for my trip to go visit ms cheng and tour a little around ho chi minh city. till now, i've yet to book my flights or finalise any details. since ms cheng will only be able to entertain me over the weekends and in the evenings, i'll be pretty much left to my own devices the rest of the time.

am very undecided (as librans are) over where i should head to (i'm quite inclined towards hoi an), given my limited time. also probably cos i'm a little unsure and apprehensive about being on my own in a foreign land. but just as well, this would be a good time for me to pluck up some courage and experience a day or two as an independent traveller.

now, i just need to go book my air tickets.
