sometimes i don't even know what i'm saying...
i often contradict myself To see a World in a grain of sand,
And a Heaven in a wild flower, Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand, And Eternity in an hour. ~ william blake ~ |
Saturday, December 29, 2007reflecting on 2007...
last december, in my blog post i wrote:
for 2007: - a new & better job. checked. i've got a new job and i've just ended my probation. while it's not all rosy and smooth-sailing, it has been good so far. and i've gotten to know some really fun and nice friends in office. - more mindful of my spending and savings. question marked. never have been good with my financial statements. but i think i've bought less frivalous stuff so that's good, rite? - backpack europe. checked. and i want to go back. =) i've also took a trip to vietnam, visited ms cheng in hcmc, and made 2 new frens thanks to ms seah. - continue to move my fat arse at least once a week. unchecked. this is a disaster. the only time i move my fat arse is on my trips, when i took on the cities by foot. - whine a little less. checked. i know some of you will be sceptical about this but hey, being pouty and whiney are different. lol. - watch more (good) movies, rockingly good concerts... double checked. not only did i watch some pretty good films, i got to watch them earlier and for free too! how much better can that get? and rocking to mayday & leehom again!!! woohoo! - get together more with friends i've not met for some time. checked. although i didn't see some more often than i would like to, at least i got to meet some i've not seen in a really long, long time. - a better year in every aspect... this is quite debatable. how do i define 'better'? there was plenty of depressing moments in 2007, especially the earlier part of the year, but given that i've managed to 'accomplish' most of what i wanted to do for the year (based on my checklist), i think i've did fine. what about you? |
